We are running 2025 Hookin2hockey for kids turning 4 - 9 on Wednesdays 5pm-6pm @ Jerrabomberra Hockey Fields. We are anticipating this to run throughout the school terms 1 - 4.

Hin2H is $80

U10's is $160 

U12s is $160

U10s and u12s training is held at Jerrabomberra Regional Sports Complex, 210 Environa Drive, Jerrabomberra. Junior games start on May 3.

Hook In 2 Hockey (HIN2H) is a Hockey Australia initiative aimed at teaching basic hockey skills to kids within a fun training & game based programme that promotes enjoyment & participation.

The NSW Government will provide $50 through a voucher system for eligible parents/guardians/ carers to contribute to the cost of their children’s participation in sport and active recreation.

The voucher can be redeemed towards payment of membership or fees with an approved provider registered with the Active Kids program, each calendar year.

Monaro Hockey Club is a provider for this program. Eligible parents with children participating in hockey with us will be able to claim their vouchers through NSW Sports. Click on the ActiveKids logo for more information on this incentive.

  • Arrive for training 4:50pm

  • Start Training 5:00pm

  • End training 6:00pm -6:10pm.

Hookin2Hockey Participant Packs

Participants have the option to purchase a Participant Pack in 2023. Packs cost $40, plus postage and handling. Participants are encouraged to pre-register 1-2 weeks in advance of the first session to ensure packs are delivered on time. You can also purchase a Participant Pack through the Hockey Australia Shop.

Participant Packs include:

  • 1 x Wood (fibreglass reinforced) Hockey Stick

  • 1 x Shin Guards

  • 1 x White Smooth Ball

  • 1 x Mouthguard

Please note the following:

  • Participation packs are dispatched on Tuesdays or Thursdays

  • Please allow up to 10 business days during busy periods for your pack to arrive

  • Please read Hockey Australia’s Returns and Refund Policy for information regarding the return of Hookin2Hockey equipment packs.

What ability is Hook In 2 Hockey aimed at?
The Hook In 2 Hockey program is aimed at beginners with little or no experience of hockey to enjoy.

What should I wear to Hook in 2 Hockey?
Comfortable sports clothing and sneakers. Also remember to wear a hat and bring a bottle of water.

Will I be playing hockey games?
Yes. The program is based on participants playing small games that involve learning the skills used in the game of hockey.

What happens if it rains on the first session (or any session)?
The people running the program decide whether to run the session or not. If it is not going ahead, they will let participants and their parents know.

Let the people running the program know that you or your child won't be coming and just come along to the next session.
